This guide is aimed at users already familiar with the Webselect CMS. If you are a new user please contact us for help.

Below you will find an explanation of how to build a section with a tiled background and individual column background colours. This section also showcases the ability to remove asset padding (apart from text) and use shadow and rounded corners.

Section Assets

This section uses 3 columns each with an image asset and text asset under each of the images

Outer Container Settings

The outer container has a background image applied here but is a small tiled pattern. With this image we can apply the tiled/repeated background checkbox.

This will now keep the image its contained size and will tile it across the background it is applied too.

It is best to use a consistent patterned image with this property so that it joins seamlessly.

Column Settings

Here we are setting the individual column settings. In this example each of the 3 columns have the same settings but they can differ per column.

First we have applied a plain white background colour by using the colour selector at the top. Next we have given the column a border radius of 10. This setting ranges from 0-20, 0 having no rounded edges and 20 the full amount possible.

Next we have checked the box to enable drop shadow on the column. Once enabled you will see the two sliders. The first slider will decide the size of the shadow. This ranges from 0-50 pixels. In this example we have set it to 30 pixels.

The other slider determines the strength of the shadow. This ranges from 0-100 percent. 0% there will be no visible shadow, 100% will show a very dense shadow.

Finally to enable the 'card' style that is used here you will need to check the 'exclude asset padding' checkbox. As stated this will only work if a background colour or image has been applied. This will remove the asset padding apart from text. So in this case the padding around the image has been removed but the text padding has remained creating a 'card' style column.
